J-1 avant le début du 2ème défi ludhiblliste  peinturluriste!
voici ma marotte pour ce challenge de peinture:

car cette année l'objectif fixé est "Vers l'indéfini et au delà!"
voici le programme: pas de limite de départ et une exploration des divers univers de peinture ( brossage à sec, réhauts, lavis etc...)

The flame of war!

une mise à jour rapide avec une équipe tout feu tout flamme et un spotter pour mon sniper afin de  renforcer mes marines Bolt Action.

the figures are from the USMC metal range of Warlord Games with few conversions and bits from the USMC plastic sprues.

THE JESTER'S USMC COLOR CHART

All the paints below are from the new citadel paint range except when stated

·        Undercoat: Black spray (GW)

·         Zenithal highlight: Caliban green spray (GW)

·         Flesh: bugman glow +Agrax shade +Cadian +Kislev+ Bloodletter glaze or Druchi violet to vary (diluted with water 1 per 10)

·         Uniform: Death world forest + Agrax shade +Nurgling green

·         Gaiters and helmet camo cover basecoat: Nurgling green + Agrax shade + Zandri dust

·         Covered helmet camo patches: Matt brown (Vallejo 984) + Flat Earth (Vallejo 983) and Waagh green + Nurgling green or straken green + dots of zandri dust

·         Uncovered helmets, Bazooka, mortar, grenades: Brown Violet (Vallejo 887) + drybrush of Zandri dust on helmet filet.

·         K-Bar scabbard, shoes and pistol holster: Rinox hide + Doombull brown + Agrax shade + Tusgor brown

·         Webbing: Tallarn sand + Agrax shade + Karak stone

·         Entrenching tool handle, weapon stocks: Mournfang brown + Agrax shade + Deathclaw brown

·         Blackened parts of weapons: Abbadon black + Skavenblight dinge

Go! Marines Go!

finalement sorti de mon frigo, je suis de retour sur les blogs après ces jours de chaleur intense !
"sale temps pour les gros comme moi !!"
j'ai verni et terminé quelques marines pour Bolt action, il en reste pas mal à peindre, mais on se rapproche des 1000 premiers points, j' ai retouché les chairs sur ceux qui étaient déjà faits, je les préfère rasés de près (en tout bien, tout honneur;-)), voici les photos de l'avant garde:

I have varnished and finished some more marines for Bolt Action, still have many to paint, but I get closer to 1000 points, I have reworked the faces of some of them, here the are!

1er Défi ludhibelliste peinturluriste français!

Salut à Tous,

le 1er Défi ludhibelliste peinturluriste français s'est terminé hier soir à Minuit.
inspiré par le Analogue Hobbies Challenge de Curt, la première édition rassemblait quelques 20 participants, une nouvelle édition aura lieu en Septembre 2015, encore un grand merci aux initiateurs et organisateurs de ce super projet.
voici les dernières figurines que j'ai réussi à sortir juste avant le gong de fin.
un peu de tout ce qui restait sous couché dans des boites de puzzle et une remise en peinture de mes sassanides 15mm Essex miniatures et Donnington Miniatures avec les drapeaux Littlebigmen studio en 15mm sur un soclage minimaliste.

Des renforts pour mon armée Field of Glory Romaine fin d'empire avec la legio palatina Thebae ( vanilla- chocolate)
les auxilia palatina Ascarii iuniores (les très très imaginatifs croiront voir un renard rouge sur certains boucliers) et Iovii Seniores:

et quelques fantassins Mycéniens qui trainaient par là

The first French painting challenge inspired by the Analogue Hobbies Challenge of Curt is closed since yesterday, a second edition is already planned in september 2015.
I finished the figures above just in time before the bell tolls the end of the round.

the mini diorama is coming from the War and Empire new range of Ancient. they sculpted it especially for the monster kickstarter suscription; I have painted it for my friend Borix ,not in the catalogue for the moment it will not be on sale! but who knows??

The triumphal Vth Analogue Hobbies Painting Challenge !

The Vth Analogue Hobbies Painting Challenge is over now, congratulations to Curtis for his mastering management of the event and thanks to all the entrants for their participation and comments!

now the pics of my last submission:

the Sumerian figures I recently repainted  to continue my " Give them a second life " project (yes a freaky long term wish!), the pictures of the old figures  I have painted many years ago; I peeled off their bases, "re-undercoated" directly on the varnish and repainted them before rebasing and flocking them.

The 15mm Essex Miniatures  Sumerian with few Chariot Miniatures mixed were painted in the late 90' on a black undercoat, after a white coat spray and a short time in "thefrenchjester's bath" (a brown wash bath in fact), some paint work later I have the command bases and all the carts done, the infantry will take more time, ;-)).

The final words are for the special troopers of the Thematic Byzantine 15mm Essex Miniatures range, the command figures are from Outpost Miniatures range;

I firstly undercoated them in white, tried a test figure painting = unsatisfied by the result!
then I undercoated them in black, tried a drybrush painting on one figure = still unsatisfied by my work!

so I tried a brown coat on the figures = No comment!!

after a break I decided to get back to a Black coat (after a fourth coat of spray I cannot still continue to speak of undercoat now!) and paint them in a more classical "Base+Highlight" painting.

now I will concentrate my work on the First french painting challenge "Le Défi Ludhibelliste Peinturlurliste", one great initiative of some french guys who work hard to promote our hobby in France, a second " défi" is already planned for this september:

This weekend my "Mathias Corvinus Hungarian black army" will fight in the German Open at Braubach near Coblence.
